Overview

Doxa is Of Counsel to Bytelex in Tanzania, anchoring the firm’s corporate, commercial, banking and finance capability across the market. Her focus areas span financial technology (fintech), banking and finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, insurance, competition law, trade and investment, and regulatory compliance for the financial, energy and oil-and-gas sectors.

She brings more than 15 years of in-house leadership, having headed the legal departments of leading multinational banks in Tanzania — including Citibank, Stanbic Bank, National Bank of Commerce and Ecobank. She was also the first Country Counsel for BG International (Tanzania Branch), part of the UK’s BG Group, where she worked on the LNG project. Doxa began her career in private practice at a leading Tanzanian law firm.
